Schools starting again

"Back to school, back to schoooooooool" Sung in my best Billy Madison voice. Great movie, very funny. Getting everything back up to speed is tough. I didn't get nearly as much summer as I wanted but thats OK.

I did get a little vacation. I drove out to Columbus Ohio to drop stuff off at the Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame. It memoribilia from my grandfater that will be on display for his induction into the Hall of Fame in October. While we were there we went to the Columbus Zoo, which is incredible. Much less expensive than the Philly zoo, bigger as well. I am not knocking the Philly zoo its great , but after living in DC I got used to being able to walk into the zoo for free. The animals that we got to see there included manatees, koalas, lorikeets (one of which pooped on my hand), gorillas, Bonobos (chimplike apes), and many many others.

We drove out, which is about 9 hours each way from here near Reading. My wonderful little daughter was incredibly behaved the entire trip. The whole way out and back in the car she was an angel. We did keep her entertained with DVDs, but on the way out she only watched one. She listened to her Fisher Price iPod and played with her Leappad. But a lot of the time she sat and watched the scenery. She would yell cow and I would have to moo. You know how many cows you see between here and Columbus? A million.
