Christmas 2008

Despite having an extremely tough year, through scrimping and saving, and buying things in mid-summer on sale, we were able to give the girls a nice Christmas.

I love this sort of picture from Christmas, there are many like this from my own childhood. The girls are wrapped up in what they are playing with and checking out the new toys.



Jacklyn helps Anna open one of her presents. She seemed to understand the idea that there was something under the paper, but quite often she just wanted to play with the paper.

"Hey, What's Jacklyn doing over there?"

Of course after all of the gifts are open Jacklyn wants to try out the new scooter that Grandma got her. Yesterday at the same time the driveway was covered with Ice and Slush. Over night the temps got very warm and it all melted.

She gets the hang of it very quickly.
