This is a blog about nothing in particular. I am no one special, other than the fact that we are all special in one way or another. Along the ride we will talk about life in general, motorcycles, music, kids and other fun stuff. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Dinner ride

Last night was a dinner ride for the group of riders that I hang out with on-line. The weather was lousy all day, raining, hailing, windy but around 3:30 the skies cleared and I decided to head down for the ride. It was in Exton which is a good 50 mile ride from where I am. I still hate taking the turnpike on the bike. First you have to have a safe place to stow the ticket. Then you have to did out the money and ticket when you get off. All this with a pair of heavy gloves on.

Anyway the weather held and the dinner was great. When I came out to the bike I had frost on my seat so that gives you an idea of the temperature. It was a little chilly but I had the right gear so I wasn't cold at all. Still love the heated hand grips. Got home around 10 or so. Slept like a baby. I love cold weather riding.

Wow Long weekend.

It was a really great weekend all told. Friday I had off from work. The morning was rainy but that cleared by noon and then the sun came out and it warmed up a bit. You know what that means, heck yeah, I was on the bike riding in a flash. It was a bit windy but nothing that I really couldn't deal with. I rode the long way up to Hermy's in Port Clinton to check out the new bikes, and really just have a place to go.

The new BMWs looked real nice, but what really caught my eye was the Triumph Scrambler. Thats a sharp looking bike. They also had this limitted edition that was all rainbow like, not my tast at all, even the seat was yellow. Yuck.

Saturday we went to celebrate the kids birthday with my Mom and family. We got to swim in Mom's indoor pool while the snow was blowing outside, that was cool. The kid had a ball in the pool and then we went back to Mom's apartment. Kid X refused to take a nap so she was sitting next to me on the couch, within minutes she was asleep. The resturant was a bit of a scene until we got some food then the kid settled down nicely.

Sunday was a long day. First I played in the bell choir at church for both the 8 and 10:45 services. Then home to watch the Daytona 500, good to see racing again. 3 Weeks until F1. World Superbike starts Sunday too!

Well it got here, big deal.

Yeah it snowed big fat hairy deal. The world did not end and no one was snowed in for more than an hour if they worked at it. The roads were excellent by mid-morning and today it was work as usual. It just sucks that I can't ride the motorcycle for a while.

Snows acoming!!

Time for panic, let mayhem take the streets. Yes folks they are calling for 6 to 12" of the fluffy white stuff and that of course is reason to panic big time. I only have 12 rolls of toilet paper at home so I better buy more. Oh and that half gallon of milk will not be enough either. I am so sick of the panic brought on by snow, its freaking ridiculous. Lets see if we get 12" of snow the roads will be clear by Monday. That means ONE DAY of travels is compromised, but not impossible. Another point: Its freaking Pennsylvania, it snows every year, get used to in already would ya!!

Great discovery

I was in the market for new motorcycle boots and a new jacket. I had heard about a company called http://www.newenough.com and thought I would check them out. Well I got a great deal on new Italian leather riding boots and a new Tourmaster jacket. When the boots came they were too small, so I went through the return process. In Two days I had the new boots and I didn't even have to send in the returned pair until after I I got the new pair. It was amazing. It is a great company great prices I highly recommend them.

They have put the roof on the new house and today I saw them lugging the jacuzi spa tub up to the second floor. This whole building process is going so quickl its really scary sometimes.

Went up by the lot where they are building our new house yesterday. We have a floor, and the start of some walls. Very exciting stuff. really looking forward to having a garage to keep the bikes in. No more covers, no more rusting away for no reason. I am loving it. Of course other things will be nice as well. The ability to do laundry in our own home. That will be nice as well.
